Child dental care at home should be started from as early as first eruption of tooth in child's mouth.

Regular yearly dental check-up and early intervention can save your child from pain, longer treatment and overall cost.

Remember, Primary teeth are just as important as permanent teeth!

Preventive Dentistry:

"Prevention is always better than cure"

With the advancement in dental material technology, it is now possible to prevent and arrest dental cavities from early stage.

This includes:

Pit and fissure sealants - it basically seals off small pits and grooves on tooth surface with the help of special cement material and gives protection against cavity formation.

Fluoride treatment - a gel or varnish is painted on tooth surface which makes teeth stronger and prevents dental decay.

Child dental care includes following problems:

  • Oral Habits like: thumb sucking habit, mouth breathing habit, tongue thrusting.

  • Teeth cavity and decay

  • Retained milky teeth

  • Emergency in case of fracture/cracked teeth

  • Uneven eruption of teeth

  • Crowding of teeth

  • Dental pain due to teething

  • Dental Decay

  • Over retained milky/primary teeth

  • Thumb sucking habit causing open bite

Orthodontic / Braces Concern:

Your child's first Orthodontic checkup should be done as early as 7 years of age as soon as first permanent tooth erupts.

Why so early?

It is because early detection and intervention of dental problem can save your child from further development of uneven crooked teeth and abnormal jaw growth.

Early intervention is recommended in case of:

  • Retained milky/primary teeth (milky teeth do not fall on their own)

  • Oral habits like thumb sucking, tongue thrusting

  • Jaw growth problem

  • Early fall of milky teeth

  • Impacted tooth in bone

844e8cd4ab26c82286238471f0e5a901.png

What is wisdom tooth?

Wisdom tooth is the last molar tooth to erupt in mouth. It usually comes after 20 years of age or later. In many cases it does not come at all or is absent.

Why do I need to remove wisdom tooth?

In some cases, position of wisdom tooth is tilted and so it cannot come out in its normal position. It gives pressure on adjacent molar which can be painful.

What Is Pericoronitis?

Pericoronitis is a condition where gum tissue surrounding the tooth becomes swollen and inflamed.

It is a painful condition which happens mainly due to food lodgement and inability to clean the area due to lack of access.

It can also lead to decay/cavity of teeth.

What Is The Procedure Of Wisdom Tooth Removal?

  • First, we will take xray of your wisdom tooth to know its exact position and severity.

  • We will numb your tooth before its removal so that it will be a painless process.

  • Our dental experts will guide you on medications and instructions to follow before and after extraction to make your experience as much comfortable as possible!

Teeth cleaning - Scaling of Teeth

What is scaling?

Scaling means deep cleaning of teeth and gums with the help of sophisticated ultrasonic scaler. It helps to remove plaque, calculus debris and stains from the teeth and gums.

What is plaque and calculus?

Plaque is a white sticky material on your tooth surface which has thousands of bacteria. Prolonged plaque retention leads to gum disease like pyorrhea and dental cavity.

Calculus is thick, hard calcified material which leads to loosening of tooth.

What are symptoms of gum disease?

Depending on the severity of disease, it can be mild to severe form. Any one or more symptoms can appear:

  • Bleeding from gums

  • Bad smell from mouth

  • Mobility of tooth

  • Receding gums from tooth

  • Swelling in gums

  • Redness in gums

Remember, BLEEDING FROM GUMS while brushing teeth might be a sign of gum disease (gingivitis) at early stage. So it should not be ignored !!

Does teeth cleaning damage tooth or enamel surface?

No, Contrary to myth, teeth cleaning does not damage tooth surface. Rather protects your teeth against gum disease like pyorrhea, periodontitis and tooth mobility.

Our highly specialized ultra-sonic scaler is effective in cleaning teeth and protect enamel surface.

How often do I need to clean my teeth by dentist?

American Dental Association recommends cleaning teeth every six months in order to maintain proper oral hygiene.

Just like any body part requires maintenance and care for lifetime function, so does your teeth.

Regular scaling appointment every six months will help you keep your teeth remain healthy for lifetime!
